高崎経済大学学長
商社、監査法人等の勤務を経て1997年に高崎経済大学講師に着任、2008年教授、2021年より現職。90年代に日本に社会的責任投資（SRI）や環境報告書などの概念を紹介した非営利組織バルディーズ研究会の事務局を務めた。専門は責任投資・非財務情報開示。環境省グリーンファイナンス検討会座長、金融庁サステナブルファイナンス有識者会議座長、インパクトコンソーシアム会長。主な著書は『責任ある投資―資金のながれで未来を変える』（岩波書店）、『ESG投資―新しい資本主義のかたち』（日本経済新聞出版社）、『サステナブルファイナンス最前線』（共編著、金融財政事情研究会）、『サステナビリティ基準がわかる』（共著、日本経済新聞出版社）、『意図をもつ金融―インパクトファイナンスのすべて』（監修、金融財政事情研究会）

After working for a trading company and an auditing firm, he became a lecturer at Takasaki City University of Economics in 1997, a professor in 2008, and has held his current position since 2021. In the 1990s, he served as the secretariat of the Valdez Study Group, a non-profit organization that introduced concepts such as socially responsible investment (SRI) and environmental reporting to Japan. He specializes in responsible investment and non-financial information disclosure. He is also chair of the Ministry of the Environment’s Green Finance Committee, chair of the Financial Services Agency’s Expert Panel of Sustainable Finance, and chair of the Impact Consortium.
